Envirolak Base Coats (Preview)

Base coats do the work nobody sees. Envirolak primers and sealers build the foundation your topcoat sits on: filling and levelling on MDF, blocking tannin bleed on oak, pine and cedar, and giving a clear finish something to grip. Acrylic and urethane options are available in gallon, 4 gallon and 5 gallon sizes, with bulk drums by special order. If you are matching a base coat to a particular topcoat or substrate, call our Industrial Team before you order.

Envirolak products are designed to work as a system: a base coat, a topcoat, and whatever catalysts or additives the job calls for. Substrate, sheen, spray equipment and shop conditions all change what we would recommend.

Everything on this page is water based and low VOC, and anything we stock can be tinted in house before it leaves the store.
