Jean Hauser: President
When Jean Hauser brought her background in fashion merchandising and interior design to The Color House more than two decades ago, it marked a turning point for the family-owned Benjamin Moore paint and wall covering business.With an eye for design, Hauser helped build a whole new side of the business her father-in-law started in 1963, encouraging the expansion of products and services and offering customers the ability to design home spaces that better reflected their personality and lifestyle.
Upon inheriting ownership of the business in 2016, Hauser, along with her team of 20 employees continued to transform The Color House, which has grown to become Rhode Island’s leading Benjamin Moore paint and design retailer with five locations in Cranston, North Kingstown, Wakefield, Middletown and Smithfield.
In addition to leading the phenomenal growth of The Color House, a certified Woman-owned Business Enterprise (WBE), Hauser is a trailblazer in the paint industry. She is the first woman to serve as committee chair for AllPro® Corporation, a business-to-business purchasing cooperative for the international paint and decorating products industry.
