Tannin Blocking Additive

The Envirolak Tannin Blocking Additive is a specially formulated solution that can be added directly to Envirolak waterborne primers and finishes to prevent tannin bleed-through on high-tannin wood species. Available in a quart size for targeted use in smaller projects or as a supplement to tannin-blocking primers.

Ideal Applications

Essential when finishing oak, cherry, pine, cedar, teak, and other tannin-rich woods with water-based coatings. Also recommended when refinishing previously stained surfaces where tannin migration may be a concern.

Usage Instructions

Add to Envirolak primer or finish at the recommended dosage rate and stir thoroughly. Use in conjunction with Envirolak tannin-blocking primers (160TB, 170TB) for maximum protection on heavily tannin-rich substrates. Refer to the technical data sheet for dosage information.
